By entering in and participating in The Hippo Herd We Can’t Drive 55 Tournament featuring Fortnite Rocket Racing, all players agree to the following:
1a. Tournament is open to players age 18 years and older, where allowed by law. It is the entrant(s) duty to follow all local laws and regulations pertaining to this type of event. You must be 18 years of age or older to accept the terms and receive payment for any potential prize(s).
2. Format is Rocket Racing, 12 Racers per race. Best scores from 7 Races featuring Fortnite Rocket Racing in private races. Points will also be awarded based on placement. Please use the link below to apply. Applying DOES NOT mean you'll get an entry. Space is limited to a max of 36(Or 33) players. A waitlist will be available on a first come first served basis, but ALL applications must be submitted by the deadlines of February 2nd, 9th, and 16th 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time US for the respective Qualifiers. Once again, priority will be given to applicants that stream regularly on the internet.(Streamed content does not matter). Entry to the Final event is only by Qualification from earlier rounds or Wildcards as determined by tournament manager, if needed, to fill slots. Any wildcard picks will come from previous entrants. Races will be held every Saturday in February at Twitch.tv/ToeKneeTM from 3-6pm Eastern Standard Time.
3. No accounts with less than 100 Fortnite games combined played will be allowed to enter without express permission from tournament managers AND sponsor. All players must make their profile public upon entering the Tournament and until completion of the Tournament and prize payouts. Platforms are limited to PC, Playstation and Xbox. No mobile or Switch players, sorry.
3. Each player MUST stream live with mic enabled (cam HIGHLY recommended) on Twitch.tv, YouTube.com or Kick.com and have VOD storage enabled AND published throughout the tournament and prize payment period. Please be aware of issues with music on VODs prior to playing; inability of Judges to verify scoring in a timely manner MAY disqualify you from claiming a potential prize. Entries will be prioritized for potential entrants that live stream regularly.
4. Scoring will be handled by the Host and their team. Players need not submit scores for this event.
5. Any disputes will be settled by the tournament judges ToeKneeTM and Randobeantv, and all decisions are final.
6. All players MUST check-in (one hour prior to start of races) at designated time and location (Designated Discord Server or ToeKneeTM’s Twitch live stream) to be eligible to race in that day’s event. Failure to check-in at least 15 minutes prior to Event start time will result in your entry being forfeited and awarded to a waitlist entrant.
7. All Prizes to be paid out via PayPal ONLY to a valid PayPal account or prize money may be forfeit. One (1) prize payout per player; it is your responsibility to split the prize. Prizes will be paid 3-5 business days from the conclusion of the event. Non US Accounts may be subject to PayPal fees deducted from any prize. ALL PRIZE PAYOUTS ARE SUBJECT TO FINAL VERIFICATION OF SCORING, REPORTING and RULE COMPLIANCE. Playing in the tournament and posting a “winning” score does NOT guarantee a prize. Players posting a potential winning score will be subject to careful review before any prizes are paid.
8. Score tracking will be done via a Google Spreadsheet and will be viewable by all via https://tournaments.toekneetm.com/HippoHerdWCD55.html .
9. Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate disqualification from the tournament and banning from participation in future events. Rage quitting is also grounds for a permanent ban from future events. Play to win, but HAVE FUN.
10. All players acknowledge and accept by participating that the Sponsor, Reuben_The_Hippo aka @LBReuben will be a participant in the Tournament. Sponsor is fully bound by decisions made by tournament judges ToeKneeTM and Randobeantv.
11. All players and participants agree to allow their streams and/or gameplay to be broadcast by the Tournament Manager, Host, Sponsor and/or other entrants for the duration of the tournament. You also agree that the Manager and/or Sponsor may use any tournament footage for post-tournament promotional purposes without further claim or compensation. Notice to participants covered by the GDPR: By entering this tournament and agreeing to the terms and conditions you affirm that you are aware of your rights afforded by the GDPR and that you are EXPLICITLY waiving your rights granted by the GDPR as outlined above. You agree to allow ANY footage from this event to be used for promotional purposes without further compensation.
12. VPN Usage is not allowed! You must use auto server select (or your normal geographical area server) or you may be disqualified from claiming a prize.

14. Prize pool and distribution: $5000 US to five (5) places as follows: 1st $2500, 2nd $1000, 3rd $750, 4th $500, and 5th $250.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PLAYERS AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS EPIC GAMES, INC., ITS LICENSORS, ITS AND THEIR AFFILIATES, AND ITS AND THEIR EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND OTHER REPRESENTATIVES FROM ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, AND EXPENSES RELATED TO THE EVENT.
Tournament format:
A. Tournament format is Fortnite Rocket Racing in a Private Lobby.
B. All players must declare which of the three approved platforms they are playing from prior to the start of the tournament. Approved platforms are PC, Xbox and Playstation. Sorry, but mobile, Switch and Luna players are not eligible for this Tournament.
C. Tournament will consist of 3 qualifying rounds of 7 races each and one final round of 7 races each. The qualifying rounds will be held on the following dates at 4pm Eastern Standard time: February 3rd, 10th and 17th. The Final Round races will begin at 4pm Eastern Standard Time on February 24th.
D. Scoring: Entrants will be awarded points based on their placement in each race. Points will be awarded as follows from 1st-11th placement: 12, 10, 9. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 (Or 1st-12th 15, 12, 10, 9. 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1).
E. Final Placement Determinations and Ties: Points will be tallied from the top seven (7) races and the player with the most points wins. The top 4 racers from each qualifying round will advance to the Final Race. The top 5 finishers in the Final Race will win the cash prizes outlined above. Final placement in the Tournament is based on Total Points for each player. Ties in points will be handled by examining the average player placement over the seven races. In the event this ties, then the decision will be made according to placement in the first race and so on. In the event the tie cannot be broken by these methods, the 2 prizes for the corresponding placements will be combined and then split evenly by the two players. (Ie tie for 2nd would combine prizes for 2nd and 3rd and then split evenly: $875 per player)
F. Neither Host nor Sponsor are responsible for funds once paid to appointed recipient. A valid PayPal account in good standing is required for payout. Prize payouts (especially those in non-US dollars) are subject to PayPal fees and are NOT the responsibility of the Sponsor or Host. Please allow 3-5 business days for payment of prizes after official results are published.
RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS NEEDED and situations arise, but will be avoided if possible. This is our FIRST racing tournament, so please be patient.
